Our orchard contains the following varieties:

  • McIntosh Apples: The quintessential New England Apple. It has a tender, white flesh, sweet with a slight tang, and very juicy. Best for eating and apple sauce because it cooks down quickly. Available thoughout the fall season.
  • Cortland Apples: The cortland apple is an all purpose juicy apple with wite flesh and a bit of tartness. It is an exellent apple for eating, pies and baking. Also terrific for salads and freezing becuase they do not turn brown quickly when cut. Cortand apples are available throughout the fall season.
  • Macoun Apples: The macoun apple is a very crisp, moist apple with a white flesh. The flavor is sweet and is our most popular eating apple. Also excellent in salads, pies, and sauce. Best if picked in late September-October. The macoun apple is a mix between McIntosh and Jersey Black varieties.
  • Empire Apples: With the popular Red Delicious and McIntosh for parents, Empire apples were destined to be a hit. It's a sweet-tart combination that's great for everything. Best if picked in late September-October.
  • Ozark Gold Apples: This is a very attractive, blushed yellow apple. It is a medium to large fruit that is mild and juicy with some tartness.
  • Golden (Yellow) Delicious: This is a honey sweet apple that has a mild flavor. Very juicy, crisp and light yellow flesh. It is excellent for eating and is great for pies, baking, and freezing. It is not just a yellow version of a Red Delicious!
  • Red Delicious: This is a sweet, juicy apple with a hint of tartness. It has a deep red flesh that is excellent for eating and salads.
